CURRENT JOB OPENINGS
Head Lifeguard: PT, Friday-Sunday, 15-20
hours per weekend. Must be 16+ and have current CPR/1st Aid and Lifeguarding
certifications. $9.20/hour.

Must have CPR/1st Aid and a swimming background & experience.
Pool Maintenance: PT position available at the Mapleton Center.
Duties include chemical checks of the pool, maintaining pool
cleanliness, light maintenance work and repairs. Open and flexible
schedule preferred. 1-2 hours per day with on-call availability
for emergencies. CPO certification preferred but training available
$10.30-12/hr DOE
Customer Relations Specialist: Various PT shifts available beginning
early May. Hours include, but are not limited to, weekday evenings 4pm-10:15pm
and weekend shifts.
Sports Coordinator: PT, 20-25 hour a week to work with our East County
Sports programs. Responsibilities include organizing leagues, communicating
with parents and coaches, and being onsite to supervise games and staff.
Programs include basketball, soccer, football, baseball, and our 3-5
year old programs. This position has flexible hours during the week as
well as on the weekends. Strong communication and organizational skills
are important to be successful in this position.
Hockey Score Keeper/Supervisor needed PT, weekday/weekend evenings into
late evening. Ideal candidate must have hockey background, understand
YMCA rules, have score keeping skills and be willing to assist the referees
in maintaining the flow of the game. Responsibilities include, but are
not limited to, running the score clock, keeping an accurate record of
the game, maintaining the flow of players in and out of the box, maintaining
rosters, maintaining the boxes and supervising the game. This individual
will work with the players, the officials and the coordinator of the
adult hockey league.
Prenatal Exercise Instructor: PT position at the Mapleton Center. Class
runs on Saturdays 11:00am-11:55am but day/time may be flexible. Pay based
on training, certification, and experience. Group exercise certification,
CPR and First Aid certification required. Prenatal exercise certification
preferred but training may be available.
Mom & Baby Exercise Instructor: PT position
at the Mapleton Center. Classes run on Wednesdays and Fridays
8:40am-9:10am but day/time may
be flexible. Pay based on training, certification, and experience.
Group exercise certification, CPR and First Aid certification
required. Prenatal
exercise certification preferred but training may be available.
SilverSneakers® Class Instructors: PT positions at the Mapleton
Center. M/W/F morning opportunities for subbing and regular instruction.
Pay based on training, certification, and experience. Group exercise
certification, CPR and First Aid certification required. SilverSneakers® certification
and experience teaching senior exercise preferred but training
is available.
Group Exercise Class Instructors: Various PT opportunities available
for subbing and regular instruction at the Mapleton Center. We especially
need subs with daytime availability for Pilates, kickboxing, step and
yoga classes. Pay based on training, certification, and experience. Group
exercise certification, CPR and First Aid certification required and
experience preferred.
Sports Officials: The Youth Sports Department is looking for officials
for our upcoming Soccer and Baseball programs. We offer a fun, interactive
environment with flexible hours. Games run Saturdays from 9:00-5:00.
Positions are available in Boulder, Lafayette and Superior. Knowledge
of sports is a must and experience is helpful but not required.
Sports Sampler Staff: The Youth Sports Department is looking for staff
to help teach our sports sampler classes. The series is designed to give
preschoolers an introduction into sports in a fun and energetic environment.
Positions are available M, T, W, Th at noon in Superior.
Volunteer Coaches: The Youth Sports Department is looking
for volunteer coaches for our upcoming spring sports. Have soccer teams
from
preschool - 6th grade and baseball for preschool – 2nd grade. As
a coach you will coordinate one practice a week and will have one game
a week
on Saturday. This is a great way to get involved in a different
aspect of the YMCA!
Clinics Coach Needed: Youth Sports department
at the Mapleton Center is looking for clinic coaches for our
summer sport classes. Classes run
Monday – Thursday mornings starting in June. Knowledge of the fundamentals
for soccer, basketball, baseball and football and experience coaching
youth (K – 5th grade) are a must.
Building Supervisor: PT position at the Arapahoe Center working evenings
4pm-12am. Responsibilities include driving the Zamboni, light maintenance
, monitoring community service volunteers, and covering MOD shifts.
Cabin Counselors (June 20th – August 13th) Cabin Counselors are
the foundation of the Camp Santa Maria staff. Our Cabin Counselors play
a significant role in every aspect of camp life. Counselors at Camp Santa
Maria live with, and are responsible for, a small group of campers. Counselors
help campers deal with homesickness, personal hygiene, and are responsible
for their camper’s health at camp. Counselors must have the ability
to observe camper behavior and assess its’ appropriateness, communicate
effectively with campers and peers, and provide necessary instruction
to campers. Cabin Counselors will be responsible for planning and
leading activities at camp. A great Cabin Counselor does not necessarily
need
to be an expert in a specific activity. Most of the Cabin Counselors
at Camp Santa Maria have a general knowledge of many activities
offered at camp. More importantly, all Counselors must have the
ability to identify
and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activities
that they are leading, the ability to plan and conduct the activities
safely, and the physical ability and strength necessary to lead
activities throughout the week. Counselors must be prepared for
long hours, be willing
to put the needs of the campers first, and must have a sense of
fair and effective discipline. $200 per week plus room and board.
Camp Director: (Challengers and Odyessey) FT summer positions directing
a YMCA day camp program. Applicants must be 21 and provide written verification
of Director qualifications in the State of Colorado. Applicant will work
part-time April through May planning for camp and fulltime beginning
Monday, June 2nd. Applicant must be available to work between the hours
of 7:00am-6:00pm (June 2-August 15). Responsibilities include: budgets,
planning, and implementation of camp programming, hiring and supervision
of summer camp counselors. Experience working with 5-16 year olds. Summer
CAMP experience is a plus. Salary range is $10.93-$12.86.
Camp Assistant Directors/Unit Leaders: (Camp Chief Niwot,
Challengers, Odyessey, Science Engineering and Technology Camp, Happy
Tails) FT
summer position. Applicants must be 21 and provide written verification
of Director qualifications in the State of Colorado. Applicant
must be available to work between the hours of 7:00am-6:00pm (June 2-August
15). Responsibilities include: supporting Director in planning
and
implementing of program, purchasing materials, staff development,
and community relations. Individual must be organized and have the ability
to multi-task. Experience working with youth ages 5-16 and summer
CAMP
experience is a plus. Salary range is $8.41-$9.90.
Camp Counselors/Program Leaders: (Camp Chief Niwot,
Sports Camp, Science Engineering and Technology Camp, Fine Arts Camp):
FT summer
positions for individuals with experience working with 5-16 year
olds. Applicant must be available to work between the hours of 7:00am-6:00pm
(June 2-August 15). Responsibilities include: facilitating camp
programming
including arts and crafts, swimming, hiking, kayaking, technical
climbing, sports, and music. Applicants must provide documentation of
480 hours
experience working with school age children (childcare center,
babysitting, church nursery, boy/girl scouts, etc.). Summer CAMP experience
is a
plus. Salary range is $7.58-$8.92.
Year Round Full Time Director: We are seeking
a Full time Program Director to work at local Elementary School
to do Before and After School Programming
during the school year and full time summer camp during summer
months. Must have bachelor’s degree in related field and two
years experience working with School age youth K-5th grade, staff
management and community
development. Responsibilities include staff management, program
development, budgeting, and community development. Position requires
an individual
who can work fairly independently and can work in a fast paced,
multi task environment. The School Age Program Department provides
12 before
and after school programs, after school enrichment classes and
8 summer programs. Benefits included/salary negotiable depending
on experience.
Position may begin as early as April 14th.
Year Round Assistant Director: Part time during
school year, full time summer. The YMCA of Boulder Valley provides
programming at 12 schools
before and after school, on full days when school is out and full
time in the summer for youth ages K-5th grade. Applicants must
be committed to being a positive role model with youth. Job responsibilities
include,
ensuring a safe and challenging environment for the participants,
support for family members & other staff, planning and implementing programming
and developing positive relationships in the community. During the summer
in our “Fun In The Sun” Program, activities are planned around
a specific theme each week around exploring the outdoors and their community.
The program offers 3-4 weekly field trips, swim lessons, soccer league,
special visitors, art, outdoor ed with a multitude of “Imagination
Stations” for children to explore their specific interests. Applicants
must be 21 and provide written verification of director qualifications
in the State of Colorado. Part time through May 16 (20-25 hrs/wk) – must
be available between 7am until school start time and 2:30-6 M-F and full
days when school it out. Full time May 19-August 15th – Program
hours are from 7am-6pm, M-F Must be flexible with working a variety
of shifts within program hours.

from 7am-6pm, M-F Must be flexible with working a variety of shifts
within program hours.
ESL Teacher: The YMCA provides an inclusive program
for 20 Spanish speaking youth, who are integrated into our summer “Fun
In The Sun” program at Whittier Elementary with English speaking
youth. We are seeking a fun and enthusiastic teacher to provide
English experiences
in writing and reading to youth entering 3rd and 4th grade. Classes
will be from 9-10:30 M-F from July 7- August 8th.Responsibilities
include planning lessons, communication with YMCA “Fun In The Sun” Director
and staff, providing feedback to participant and their families,
and program leadership.
Spanish Teacher: The YMCA provides an inclusive program
for 20 Spanish speaking youth, who are integrated into our summer “Fun
In The Sun” program with English speaking youth at Whittier Elementary.
We will be offering Spanish classes for one hour a day for 2-4
days a week between June 9th and August 8th. We are seeking a fun
and enthusiastic
teacher to provide Spanish speaking lessons for youth entering
2nd-5th grade. Applicants must be committed to being a positive
role model with
youth and able to supervise youth independently.
