Age Groups:
Children are divided into three age groups. While some groups may be combined for age appropriate field trips, they spend much of the day apart.

Making Memories – entering Kindergarten and 1st grade (must be 5 by 9/30/2010)
This age group is still dependent on adults for their emotional and physical needs, therefore we plan for a lower child to staff ratio to provide a more nurturing and supportive environment.  Most field trips are to local destinations for shorter periods of time. They have plenty of outdoor time, with activities offered in six Imagination Stations: Arts and Crafts, Building, Language, Science, Board Games and Dramatic Play.

Voyagers – entering 2nd and 3rd grade
This age group is more active and show more interest in group games.  New this year we are offering “Club Time” where children will be able to choose from a variety of clubs throughout the week related to the theme. There will also be “choice time” for board games, open-ended art, building or just relaxing with a book at the beginning and end of each day. This group is ready for more excursions for longer periods of time.

Journeys – entering 4th through 6th grade
There is more opportunity for this group to initiate activities according to their interests. They are ready to become interested in community service projects and small fund-raising activities for special events.  New this year – we are offering “Club Time” where children will be able to choose from a variety of clubs throughout the week related to the theme. Projects can hold their interest over several days and they enjoy more lengthy and challenging field trips. We have a higher expectation of this group in modeling our core values and developing leadership skills!
