Learn to Bike (Ages entering 1st-3rd grade)
Developed from our highly successful Learn to Bike clinics, this one-week Y-Riders camp is designed to get campers off of their training wheels and teach them basic bicycle riding skills.  Each day campers will receive targeted instruction based on their current ability.  Campers will work on finding their balance, controlling the bike, stopping and starting and other skills needed to make riding a bike fun.  Campers will also enjoy group games and time to just play!  Helmet and bike safety check is required, as well as a bike small enough that the child can firmly touch the ground while seated.

Jr. Y-Riders (Ages entering 3rd –5th grade)
An introductory one-week camp for beginning bike riders.  Campers will work on basic bike handling skills including how to ride in a group, rules of the road, hand signals and right of way. Campers will practice on the extensive Boulder bike path system and will learn trail riding techniques and riding etiquette.  In addition to riding, there will be plenty of time for play and fun.  Helmets and bike safety check are required.

Y-Riders Local Adventures (Ages entering 5th-9th grade)
Local Adventures is a two-week camp for riders with beginning to intermediate cycling skills.  Campers learn traffic safety, general mountain bike skills and basic bike maintenance.  Daily medium distance rides help campers practice their skills.  Riders get to use all that they’ve learned when they ride to Carter Lake for an overnight camping trip at the end of each session. Helmets and bike safety check are required.

Colorado Excursions (Ages entering 7th-12th grade)
Crested Butte - Colorado Excursions is a one week overnight mountain biking camp for riders with a minimum intermediate level of mountain biking skills. Campers travel to Crested Butte for four exciting days of camping and riding on some of the most beautiful and famous trails in the country. The first day of camp is spent riding locally, to assess the skill level of each rider, check bike safety and work on team building. Riders must be willing to work as a team during the week – whether setting up camp, cooking dinner or riding.  Meals, transportation and camping fees are included in the cost. Campers must provide their own bike, sleeping bag, riding and personal gear. Helmets and bike safety check are required.

Day One: Campers ride locally from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Meet at Mapleton YMCA, 28th &
Mapleton, Boulder.
Day Two-Five:  Campers meet at 8:00am at the Mapleton YMCA to depart for Crested Butte. Campers return by 6:00pm on day five.
