NIA Series – 5 Stages

Get ready to explore the profound healing power of movement your body will love in The Five Stages of Self-Healing. Instructor: Jackie Diner
Series 1: The base, your foundation. Each week we will study an area of anatomy: feet and ankles, shinbones, thighbones, and the hip joint. Paying attention to the movements and sensations while performing the 5 stages to bring a greater level of awareness for and appreciation of these parts of the body and how they function.
Series 2: The second session: The Core, the structural support for our body. Each week we will study an area of the anatomy: pelvis, chest, head, and spine. The three body weights when properly aligned add ease to our movement and balance. Explore how they each work separately and together to keep us strong and healthy.
Monthly Fees – Member $45 / Nonmember $75

NIA Workshop - 52 moves

These moves are the building blocks of NIA. The Base (steps, kicks, and stances); the core (motions); the upper extremities (hands, arms, and finger expressions, strikes, and blocks). Learning these movements enables you to dance freely, safely, and with greater power. Instructor: Jackie Diner
