Skateboarding is an active, creative and challenging form of self expression with a unique culture and history. We offer a variety of skateboarding camps, clinics and clubs, as well as skate contests at the Boulder Skatepark. The Boulder Valley YMCA's skateboarding program has something for you!
Grommet Skate Club
3rd–5th grade
An after-school skateboarding club for intermediate and advanced skateboarders in grades 3-5. Skaters will meet at the Boulder Skatepark Mondays at 3:30pm to session with adult supervision and guidance. Boulder Skate Team members will be on hand to share their skills. Once a month, the Grommet Skate Club will take a trip to visit a different Skatepark in the area. Trip dates and locations TBA. Purchase a Membership Punch Card at the YMCA of Boulder Valley. Six and Twelve Punch Cards are available. Each punch is good for one session, and two punches for a monthly trip.

Teen Skateboarding
6th–12th grade
The Y offers a wide variety of skateboarding programs and events for middle and high school aged skaters! Skaters purchase a drop-in punch-card at the YMCA. With punch-card purchase, skaters will receive a schedule of events and programs. Some programs require use of several punches, depending on cost and duration of the event. Skaters can earn punch-card credits for participating in Community Service Projects. Events and programs include:

- Bimonthly Trips to the best Colorado Skateparks
- Monthly Skate Jam/Movie Nights at the Y
- Y-Skate Demo Team

Private Skateboarding and Longboarding Lessons
By Appointment
Private instruction for skateboarders ages 5 through adult. Whether
you are a child who wants to learn to skate, a youth or teen who wants
to progress to the next level or an adult who wants to get started
skating, a private lesson is a great choice. The lesson is tailored
to fit your needs on terrain appropriate for your ability.
