Get Your Game On

The Y Way to Play is:

Fun. Sportsmanship. Opportunity. Progressive Competition. Community.

The Y Way to Play is a commitment for all to learn, grow and have fun through sports. Our goal is to build a community through our Y Sports programs in which everyone has the opportunity for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Sports are a vehicle to so many opportunities—whether it is sportsmanship and values, coaching and sharing, or socializing and learning teamwork. Sports teach lifelong skills.

5th Annual Strong Kids Triathlon

At the Y, we work to empower kids. And last summer, we helped 250 kids accomplish something incredible: experiencing a triathlon. This year, the Fifth Annual Strong Kids Triathlon will bring together local kids ages 2-15 to swim, pedal, run and make memories. Children race in heats organized by age, so each heat caters to the skill level of the child. The Strong Kids Triathlon includes lap(s) in the pool, lap(s) on bicycles (or tricycles) and finishes with lap(s) around the turf field. Each child will go home with a medal, T-shirt and a giant smile. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Y scholarship fund for those who need assistance paying for Y programs.
