On Nov 21, all three Ys will close at noon. On Nov 22, the Arapahoe and Mapleton Ys are closed. Some areas of the Longmont Y are open 9:00am-noon. There will be no Gym Ventures on Nov 23.

Loathe the bench press? Never fear, the Y has plenty of opportunities for you to build muscle and gain strength in a dynamic group setting. Our wide range of bicep-boosting options ensures there is a class (or several) to will help you meet your anaerobic goals.

Class Schedule

BALLS, BOSU & BALANCE

This class uses stability balls, BOSU balls and other equipment to enhance balance and challenge coordination.

BARRE FIT

Inspired by ballet, there will be a combination of stretching and strength training to create a long and lean body. By incorporating the training aspects of Pilates, yoga and dance, you will leave energized and feeling graceful. Strength and flexibility are used to create a limber physique, elongating the muscles while allowing for self-expression.

BODY CORE 

45 minute full body workout using predominantly bodyweight, focusing on core stability.

BOOT CAMP

Meet for an intense hour of speed, strength, plyometrics, balance, agility and core strength.

CORE ETC.

Want a stronger core? Come take Core Etc.! Push your core muscles and learn the proper way to engage them along the way.

CROSS FUNCTIONAL

This program uses a variety of new creative exercises while integrating the use of old school tricks such as the "squat" and "clean and sweep." You have heard of "cross fit," now we would like to introduce something that not only makes you fit, but makes you functional! Class size is limited to six participants.

FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH TRAINING

A class for those who would like to strengthen, define and sculpt their physique. Work out with a personal trainer in a small group setting (maximum of 6 participants). This is a progressive program that will also focus on muscle imbalances and flexibility using a variety of techniques making your workouts fun, effective and time efficient.

LES MILLS BODYPUMP™

BODYPUMP™ is for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP™ gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 590 calories*. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.

METABOLIC CONDITIONING

Metabolic training takes participants through the structural and compound exercises with little rest in between exercises in an effort to maximize kcal burn and increase the individual’s resting metabolic rate. This means you’re using more energy at rest! This type of workout can have a dramatic effect on body composition.

PIYO

PiYo is an advanced,  high intensity, music driven cardio workout for people who like to sweat! We incorporate body weight resistance work, dynamic flexibility training, and functional fitness while emphasizing the athleticism of Pilates and yoga. Bring a mat and prepare to sweat.

POWER HOUR

In this unique hour long, high-impact class, you'll spend the first 35 minutes burning hundreds of calories doing a variety of power, agility, partner, and sprinting drills. The remainder of the class is spent doing body-weight exercises on the mat...the perfect combination of satisfying sweat and rewarding strengthening. All fitness levels are welcome.

POWER LUNCH TRX®

Join us for 30 minutes of a high intensity workout using the TRX straps.  Perfect for those with a busy workday looking for a quick but challenging workout.

This Active Older Adults class uses weights, bands, bars, balls and steps to challenge the whole body.

Our ski and sport conditioning class will prepare you for a stronger, healthier and more confidant winter sport season. We focus on overall body strength, conditioning, agility and balance through fitness techniques and education.

SPORTS CONDITIONING

Plyometric, agility, strength and cardio conditioning to help you enhance your performance on the slopes, field, or court.

A full body workout focused on strength training. Using barbells, dumbbells, (the heavy ones) Kettlebells, and Body weight. To build a stronger you.

TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING

Tone and strengthen muscle using lunges, squats, crunches, balls, resistance tubes, dumbbells and more in this workout. You will get a full body exercise leaving no muscles out.

A performance training tool that leverages gravity and your body weight to enable hundreds of exercises. The exercises simultaneously develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability. TRX® EXPRESS

Born in the US Navy SEALS, TRX® Suspension Training is a method of leveraged bodyweight exercise. Perform hundreds of exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility and prevent injuries. Designed for 30 minutes.

WOMEN ON WEIGHTS

You will learn varied training principles, a focus on core, hip and shoulder stability training, cross training and the principles of moderate to high intensity training. The entire body will be trained during each workout.

YPUMP

Come try a muscle strength and endurance workout like you’ve never felt before. Use a 3-pound barbell that you can add any weight to for an intense full-body workout.
